Supporting whole families impacted by Domestic Violence, through education and advocacy to heal and empower for healthier connections.
Maple Star’s Domestic Violence Reduction Program works with Adam’s County Child Protective Services in a caring, supportive, and trauma informed way in order to provide knowledge, skills, and psycho-education to moms, dads, and children who have had or are currently dealing with domestic violence in the home. The DVRP team consists of a supervisor, two full time advocates, and a part time bilingual advocate that aim to be a liaison of support and education as we all work towards healthier and happier families!
Our Advocates meet with families to find out what needs they have such as housing, shelters, court information, protection orders, and many other questions they may have as they work with Adams County. The advocates also run psycho-educational groups for men, women and children to help the entire family move forward and heal from their experiences.
As an extension of the DVR program, Maple Star offers full DVOMB domestic violence evaluations through Adams County for clients that might need help beyond the DVR groups.
Our team consists of:
Mallori Kenworthy, LPC, DVOMB approved
Angie Bingham, BA – Intake Advocate
Kiesha Howe, BA – Ongoing Advocate
Abe Rivera — Bilingual Advocate
